This is a biography of the legendary Doon Pandit (1900-1958) who was a Hindu priest, community leader and spiritual healer in colonial Trinidad. His reputation as a healer had spread as far India, England,Venezuela and other Caribbean islands. Perhaps his most recognized act was in curing Josephine Shaw, wife of the then-Governor of Trinidad. For the performance of this miracle, he was bestowed the honor of being named a Member of the British Empire (MBE) in 1949.
