Kav received a diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis at the age of 18. The onset was quick and merciless. She went from a regular young lady to a disabled one. The right side of her body was paralyzed . There was no treatment in sight. She had no idea where to go from here? With trial and error she figured out what worked and what caused more problems.

Her life, with Multiple Sclerosis, has been one that is marked by miracles, alternative treatments and willpower to not only survive but to thrive. She has never used any of the prescribed treatments for MS and has relied on natural and regenerative treatments over the last 20 years. This was documented in an honest and open book that gives the details of her life, her struggles and many triumphs.

Kav's Life

Kumar Mahabir

is a full-time anthropologist at the University of Guyana (UG) and Fellow of The Eccles Centre for American Studies, British Library (2022-23). He is a former Assistant Professor at the University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT). He obtained his Ph.D. in Anthropology from the University of Florida (UF). As a doctoral student, he won a Florida Caribbean Institute Award, an A. Curtis Wilgus Grant, and an Organization of American States (OAS) Fellowship.
Mahabir received a National Award (Hummingbird Silver Medal) for his contribution to education in his country in 2011. He was among 50 recipients who received a Distinguished Alumni Award from the UWI Alumni Association.
Mahabir is the author of 12 books to date.
