Indo-Caribbean Cultural Centre Co. Ltd. (ICC) is pleased to announce the publication of its latest souvenir magazine for Divali 2019 in Trinidad and Tobago. The theme of this 19th edition of its hard and digital edition of its free, annual magazine is “The Hare Krishna Religious Movement in Trinidad and Tobago.”

This Hindu sect (ISKCON) was founded in in the USA in 1966 by His Devine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, a devotee of Lord Krishna. ISKCON was established in Trinidad in 1968. In its main temple in Longdenville, ceremonial chanting and worship have been performed uninterruptedly 7 times a day, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year, for 37 continuous years since 1982.

The two other temples are located in Orion Drive in Debe, and Garden Village in Arouca. There is also a farm community in Coryal in Cumuto. Hare Krishnas are well known for their public congregational singing and dancing [sankirtan], playing of musical instruments, and the free distribution of hot, tasty, vegetarian meals.
